yeah because have you seen skate videos now adays the style of skateing is completely diffrent yes he is talented and the tricks he does is really hard but he cant come near other skaters like p rod eric koton mj or mike mo, to name a few. personally people who dont skate ussaualy say he is amazing (as ive noticed) and if you do actually skate then thats your opinion i just needed to express what i think about him

I couldn't agree with this more, ppl that don't skate but think they can and think they know about skating think Rodney Mullen is the best ever, don't get me wrong he is really good, but there are better skaters out there whose names aren't as well known. Also, the people that don't skate at all and know nothing about skating assume Tony Hawk is the best skater, I just think that's kinda funny.

Umm... I don't know how I feel about Mullen. He might have amazing tricks, but his style just ruins it and makes it boring to watch. If he had a super clean style like most pro skaters now a days then I would like him more, although he is pretty sloppy and his clothes just make his tricks look bad imo. So he might have great tricks, but I think there are much better skaters out now

he couldnt do real tricks so he made up his own crazy type imo i personally cant stand him as a skateboarder

cosign he does the same combo all the time and it gets boring

yea he does alot of the same tricks but its hard to come up with new ones

You have to keep in mind to that he invented a lot of the tricks that are very common today.

he invented more than like 3/4 of the moves we do today, how is that not variety?
yeah he does primo alot ,but thats because hes the king of it.
jsut like tony hawk does alot of spins and grabs, because hes vert.

I STRONGLY disagree with what you are saying.

1. Tony Hawk is not "strictly" vert.
2. Rodney Mullen Inovated skateboarding yes.....Variety is stair sets, ledges, flat, park, banks, hills.......ect. ect.....half the things I metioned Rodney mullen has never done.

rodney mullen is no doubt an amazing skateboarder
but i agree that thers other skaters that are just simply better than him
like fundamentally there are better skateres like what dunk the funk said
but i guess in technical terms
rodney mullen just beasts
